Jordan Henderson has reportedly told Sunderland that he is keen to join Liverpool and he wants the deal completed before he joins up with the England Under 21’s for their European Championships.
Henderson flies out with the England Under 21 squad on Wednesday which would mean he wants the deal completed by tomorrow. Liverpool seem to have acted on Henderson’s willingness to join the club and have tabled an improved offer of £15 million after having an initial £13 million offer rejected last week.
Sunderland are holding out for £20 million for their highly-rated midfielder but Liverpool seem reluctant to pay that amount. Kenny Dalglish has identified the 20 year old as his number one summer transfer target and would like him at his disposal for pre-season training. But Sunderland are adamant that he will not leave for under £20 million but they would ideally love to see the homegrown midfielder stay on Wearside
