Liverpool have opened talks with Roma over the signing of their Brazilian goalkeeper Alexander Doni, according to the player’s agent.
The 31 year old goalkeeper’s representative has said that talks between the two clubs are at an advanced stage to take him to merseyside.
The Brazilian, who has been capped 10 times by his country, has dropped down to third choice in the pecking order at Roma over the last year and according to the player’s agent he is keen for a move to Liverpool. Doni has 12 months remaining on his contract at the Italian side, so Liverpool would be able to sign him for a cut-price deal.
