Klopp

Liverpool’s season was already blighted by under-performing players before injury struck time and again leaving manager Jurgen Klopp to dip his hands into the academy and reserves for their Third Round FA cup tie against Exeter City. In this segment, we look at three critical positions that the side needs to strengthen as soon as possible.

Goalkeeper

Bogdan

Neither Mignolet nor Bogdan have looked assuring in between the sticks for the Merseyside club often leaving the Liverpool fans wondering how much longer do they have to wait to watch a leader in the goal. While Mignolet’s error prone nature has been statistically documented, Bogdan seems to be giving him a run for his money with disastrous back to back performances against Watford and Exeter City.

Neither has been good dealing with aerial threats and their distribution abilities are abysmal to say the least, leaving them incapable of performing the basics of being a goal keeper and hence the uproar. Many Liverpool fans who have followed Scottish League have even claimed that Klopp should recall Danny Ward from his loan to Aberdeen as he looked better in most aspects compared to the current first and second choice goal keepers.
