This summer transfer window will be a make or break period for Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s arrival at Man City means they will invest a lot of money for the brilliant coach. Chelsea and United will spend heavily after their disastrous season. If the reds want to compete at the highest level, they will have to buy smart and also spend money.

Liverpool need goals upfront and the last two seasons have proved that the reds cannot rely on Daniel Sturridge. Though when on song, Sturridge is a world class player but due to his injuries, Liverpool need another proven goalscorer to reduce the load on Sturridge.

Christian Benteke has struggled to settle at Merseyside and might be sold this summer. Danny Ings and Divock Origi are exciting prospects but can’t be trusted for short term success. The reds are crying out for a goalscorer and with the FSG’s plan to buy a young star with a reselling value, the one that fits the bill perfectly is, Alvaro Morata.

Alvaro Morata has been in fine form for Juventus for the past two years and has impressed all in his time with the Bianconeri. He has scored 14 goals for Juventus and his partnership with Paulo Dybala has been eye-catching. Real Madrid has a buyback clause for the Spaniard but Morata has many options to look for before going to the Bernabeu again.

Rumours are linking him to Liverpool and if it happens, it will be a dream transfer for Liverpool. The 24-year-old is a threat in front of the goal and knows where the goal is. With success in La Liga and Seria A, Premier League will provide him a new test to prove himself in.

Under Klopp, his development will be in good hands and his talent will be nurtured and will be progressed many folds. His partnership with Daniel Sturridge will be worth watching as both have similarities between them. Coutinho and Firmino will provide the required balls for the Spaniard.

He is the type of player that oozes confidence and makes the players around him look good. If Alvaro Morata does become a Liverpool player and wear the famous Red shirt then the fans will love him instantly and can be revered like that of Suarez and Torres. Morata can be the spearhead of Klopp’s revolution at Liverpool.
