Liverpool continued their winning streak at Anfield with another impressive victory against Watford. Klopp made several changes to the team that he started against Villarreal. Here is a look at how the players performed on the evening.

Simon Mignolet – 7.5

The Belgian goalkeeper was at his best as he not only managed to keep a clean sheet but also made some brilliant saves to deny Watford a goal. He was good with his distribution as well.

Jon Flanagan – 6.5

Flanagan made his return to the starting 11 but his performance was not up-to the mark. Defensively he was pretty solid but not with the runs up-front to match the quality of Nathaniel Clyne.

Martin Skrtel – 8

Skrtel was very strong defensively and had a pretty good game. He is almost concluding his career and this game was one which will be a good memory for the center back.

Lucas Leiva – 6.5

Lucas was not confident defending and was caught a few times out of position. He was not able to combine well with Skrtel. However, he managed to help the team keep a clean-sheet and played his part well.

Alberto Moreno – 7

Moreno was better than many of his performances at Anfield and did all the running around in terms of attack as well as defence. He did not leave too much space for the Watford wingers and was spot on with the marking.

Kevin Stewart – 6.5

Stewart has been the second choice defensive midfielder throughout this season. But, he did not show any other dimension to his game. He can do much better in the future.

Joe Allen – 8.5 (Man of the match)

Allen was clearly the man of the match for the Reds. The Welshman scored a goal with a brilliant run and was clinical in terms of passing and moving the ball. He is one player who has become better with every passing game and this was one of his best performances.

Jordon Ibe – 6.5

Ibe has promising pace but he lacks the end product. His performances have always lacked that finishing touch that could make him a threat to defences. The young winger needs to work on his finishing and his abilities to create chances.

Sheyi Ojo – 7.5

Ojo had a good game in the wings and did pretty much as expected from him. His ability to hold off defenders and keep possession is what makes him an asset for the future.

Philippe Coutinho – 6.5

Coutinho had good link-ups with Benteke in the attack but lacked the end product for this occasion. The Brazilian will need to work on his consistency.

Christian Benteke – 7

Benteke was solid up-front and had a good chemistry with Coutinho. He did not have too many shots on goal but did justice to his role.

Substitutes

Roberto Firmino

He came in for Coutinho on the hour mark and scored the important second goal for the Reds.

Cameron Brannagan

He came in for Ojo on the 78th minute mark but did not have much time to have any impact on the game.

Connor Randall

Randall was a late entry to the game just to kill some time.
