Jurgen Klopp has brought a lot of confidence amongst the players which in-turn has given the fans a lot to expect from the next season. The Reds have shown a lot of character in the later stage of the season in the premiere league and in the Europa league as well. A lot of players have developed under Klopp’s leadership and Liverpool can expect them to deliver the goods in the coming season. Klopp will definitely add new talents in the summer window, and considering all the rumors, here is how Liverpool may line-up next season.

Goalkeeper: Marc-Andre ter Stegen

With Mignolet’s position is under scrutiny, Klopp might find a replacement for the Belgian who could work well between Liverpool’s sticks. Reports from around the Europe are heavily claiming that Marc-Andre ter Stegen is the number one target for the German manager and that could be a great deal for the club. The German has been struggling to get a first team experience in Barcelona, and Klopp might rescue the player from his misery this summer.

Defence: Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Moreno (possible replacement)

Sakho is under suspension and there are uncertainties over his ban. Lovren has shown a lot of improvement and he should be the first choice defender for the Reds alongside the new signing Joel Matip. Moreno looks likely to be replaced by a left-back, but until that happens, he is the first choice full back for the Reds.

Midfield: Can, Henderson/Milner

Emre Can has been the player to watch out for this season and he has shown tremendous improvement under Klopp. He should be the main man in the defensive midfield position for the Reds. Henderson has competition from Milner, but since Milner has the ability to play at other positions, the central midfield role looks pretty much secured for the Skipper. Joe Allen is another player who has been outstanding under Klopp and he might be the second choice for the midfield position.

Attacking Midfield: Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho

Adam Lallana was criticized a lot during the reign of Brendan Rogers as he was not able to get the best out of the winger. On the contrary, Klopp has managed to get the best out of him. Liverpool have been linked with a lot of wingers lately and if a quality winger does not arrive at Anfield for the next season, Lallana will keep his place in the right wing. Another player who has shown his prowess as an attacker is the Brazilian Roberto Firmino. He has been very impressive in the central attacking position and also as a center forward in the earlier part. He has also provided a lot of assists in the big games and his role looks secured. Philippe Coutinho has been the man for Liverpool to rely on this season. He definitely has a great future at Anfield.

Striker: Alexandre Lacazette

Liverpool will surely be needing a real task force for the next season if they want to compete for the title. Many of the supporters will argue over Divock Origi’s place in the starting XI, but to be very honest, he needs more time to secure a permanent place in the squad. With Sturridge’s uncertain future, Klopp will surely find a new striker who could work well with the attacking trio of Coutinho, Firmino, and Lallana. The recent reports are suggesting that Liverpool are plotting a bid for the French hotspot Alexandre Lacazette, and this could be a great signing for the team for sure. The 24-year-old has scored 21 goals in his 33 appearances for Lyon and has been exceptional throughout the season. He has all the right ingredients to be a top striker for the Anfield club.
