The transfer period is one of the most exciting time for the supporters as the anticipation of the new players coming into the squad, all the rumors in the papers is what keeps the fans engaged in the off season. Likewise, along with the influx of players joining the squad, the players who are not performing or not suiting to the manager’s philosophy are offloaded straightaway.

Liverpool have a huge squad and the number of players leaving the club . One of the main thing that Klopp has to do is to clear out the dead log as many players in the squad are just not at the level that the club aspire to be. Atleast 7-8 players, including some young academy graduates have to find new clubs after failing to make the cut under Klopp. The German is ruthless when it comes to the sale of his players and the pre-season represents a last opportunity for the fringe players to make some kind of impression.

The loanees; Mario Balotelli, Luis Alberto will be back for the USA tour, but it seems it was clear long ago that their Liverpool journey is over. A youngster like Jerome Sinclair have left the club and the likes of Joao Texeira are set to leave after some years at Anfield. Adam Bogdan is set to find new pastures, so let’s take a look the three players from the first team squad who are set to leave the club in the summer:

1. Simon Mignolet:

After a good start to his Liverpool career, Mignolet still hasn’t convinced his critics that he deserves to be the reds no.1. Though he recently signed a five year deal in January, his dismal stats of being the joint highest in making defensive errors and also being at the top of goals conceded from those errors. The arrival of Loris Karius means Klopp has addressed the most important issue in the team and now the talks of Pepe Reina returning to Anfield might end his Liverpool career.

2. Martin Skrtel:

The Slovakian has been at the club for a long time and has been a brilliant servant to the club, but it’s time for both the parties to move on. Skrtel fell down in the red’s pecking order after the duo of Sakho and Lovren settled well under the German. The buy of Joel Matip from Schalke was the final nail in his coffin as it is obvious that he doesn’t have a future under Jurgen Klopp.

3. Mario Balotelli:

The mercurial striker has to be said was a big mistake on the club’s part. His signing made the fans hopeful of his improvement in the club, but that was not meant to be and he was shipped out to AC Milan in the last summer. He will back for the processing, but as soon as an offer will arrive, Balotelli will be sold without any hesitation.
