Christian Benteke is set to leave the Anfield this summer having fallen out of favor under Jurgen Klopp’s regime at the Reds.

The player joined Liverpool last summer from Aston Villa, however, his first year at the Reds was nothing short of disappointing, and now he is headed out of the Merseysiders. Reports suggest that Crystal Palace are interested in signing the player, however the Reds have reportedly put a £30 million price tag on the player. The player failed to impress the German manager and went down in the pecking order as well, while Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi impressed the manager.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is looking forward to landing Benteke at the Selhurst Park, however Liverpool’s huge price tag may turn into a big put off for the manager in signing the Belgian striker.

While many believed that because he ran out of favor, he will be let go of in lesser amount, however club officials believe things to be the other way around as they try to recoup much of what they paid for him last summer.
