The biggest question hovering across the media and amongst Liverpool supporters has been the addition of a new left back. Liverpool were already in need of a quality full back with Alberto Moreno clearly struggling defensively and they received a big blow with an injury to Joe Gomez. Jon Flanagan has been good on the right side and he can also be considered as a good option for the left back role. However, with concerns over his future for this season with a possibility of a loan transfer, it looks seemingly difficult for Klopp and he is left with no choice but to look for a new left back and get a solution for the full back woes. Ben Chilwell seemed a really good option but the renewal of his contract at Leicester means that the Reds have to search elsewhere. These could be the possible options for Jurgen Klopp at the moment.

Jonas Hector

The 25 year old FC Cologne full back seems the most likely player to arrive at Anfield. The German international has been linked with Liverpool for quite some time now and it will be a delight to have him in the English premier league. Hector has shown quality in the Euros with his ability to make runs at wider positions and defend as well. Due to many link-ups, he has become a favourite amongst the fans as well and Kopites will be delighted if this move happens.

Jordan Amavi

Aston Villa had a season to forget as they finished last and got relegated to play in the Championship. However, there were a few players who did manage to shine amidst all this. Jordan Amavi is one such talent who made his mark in the last season. The 22 year old is linked with a move to Anfield and it won’t be a surprise if the young left back chooses the premiere league over the championship with a move to Liverpool. Also, his quick feet can be of good use coupled with his crossing abilities.

Charlie Taylor

The reason for Klopp to opt for Chilwell was his age and his future potential. Considering this, the prospect of having Charlie Taylor in the current side does not look like a bad option at all. The 22 year old Leeds United left back is doing the rounds in media for his incredible last season with Leeds. With solid defensive abilities, Taylor might just be the young target who could fit the bill.
