Luan Vieira

Transfer speculations are on the rise as the transfer season approaches its end and Liverpool have been linked with a number of players lately. The latest player to be linked with the Reds is the Brazilian striker Luan Vieira, who plays for the Brazilian club Gremio. The 23-year-old striker has been in sensational form in the Brazilian league and scored 17 goals for his side. Klopp is currently exploring his attacking options as many of the deals are not falling through for the manager making the fans anxious about the side’s preparations. The Reds currently do have quality attackers at their disposal but if Benteke and Balotelli depart then there will be a need of a center forward in the side.

Who is Luan Vieira

Vieira started playing for the Brazilian side Gremio in the season of 2014, but his first season was not that impressive. He took his time to settle at his new club and in the second season there was a tremendous improvement in his performances and the goals started to flourish.

The striker netted 17 goals in the season and was the top scorer of his side. At the moment, Liverpool are being given a tough competition by the Spanish giants Barcelona as they are also looking to sign the striker. The chances of Barcelona closing this deal looks stronger as compared to Liverpool according to a report by Daily Star.

A fit at Anfield

With the departure of Balotelli and Benteke looking on the cards, Liverpool are in need of a striker as a backup option in their side at the moment. The Reds currently have the services of Sturridge, Origi, Ings and Firmino as possible center forward options, but Klopp would be more than happy to add another talent to his line-up. Also, if Luan is to arrive at Anfield, it would be really interesting to see the Brazilian trio perform for the club. Luan could possibly combine well with Firmino and Coutinho in the attacking midfield and provide a new flair to the side. However, this deal looks really tough at the moment and with Barcelona in competition it doesn’t look likely that the striker will land up in England. The Catalan club is looking to seal the deal at a price of £18.5m. As the transfer season inches towards a closure, pressure builds for the Liverpool boss to complete his signings.
