Even if they win any other trophy this season, the Premier League title remains apparently the priority for Liverpool. Having missing out on winning the most coveted title in England since they last won it in 1989 and only came close to breaking that jinx in 2009 but lost it to Manchester United.

And since then the 18-time champion have not found it rosy in the Premier League and even dropped out of the ‘big four club’ for some seasons.  Not even the re-appointment in 2011 of the man who last won it for them, Kenny Daglish, could do the miracle of bringing the trophy to the Anfield.

Currently sitting third on the table with the same 20 points as Manchester City and Arsenal who occupy the first and second positions respectively- they are all separated only by goal difference. Football pundits believe the Red Devils has what it takes to claim the title .

Here are three major reasons why Liverpool can win the title:

  1. They are now prolific infront of goal

The Anfield outfits have scored 30 goals in 11 matches this season – 20 in nine matches in the Premier League- and are no more reliance on a single player to score the goals. Unlike before when the team depended on Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez at different times to produce the goals.  Philippe Coutinho (6), Sadio Mane (5), Roberto Firmino (4), James Milner (4), Adam Lallana (3), Divock Origi (2) and Daniel Sturridge (2) and Jordan Henderson, Ragnar Klavan and Dejan Lovren with a goal each have all scored for Liverpool this season.

  1. They turned up in big matches

Liverpool have played against four of the other top five contenders already this season and are yet to record a loss. Defeated both Arsenal (4-3 on opening day) and Chelsea (2-1) and drew both Tottenham and Manchester United. These results are testament that the Red Devils are ready to end their 27 years wait for the title.

  1. Anfield is now a fortress

Chelsea hardly lost at home on their way to winning the trophy in 2014/2015 season and the same feat was repeated by Leicester City losing only once at the King Power Stadium as the Foxes won the title against all odds last season.Liverpool won six consecutive matches at home last season and the fear factor is coming back to Anfield. Remaining unbeaten at home is crucial to their bid to win the Premier League.
