The international break might not see Liverpool in action but a lot of the stars are representing their nations in friendlies. While Roberto Firmino and Brazil had a great win over Argentina, Ragnar Klavan is trying his best to imitate the attacker at the Merseyside club.

The Estonian defender might not be the best player when it comes to the attacking aspect of the game but he did pop up with the same hairstyle as the talented Brazilian. The former Augsburg man shared a photo on Instagram and seemed to be paying homage to Firmino.

Klavan also shared the following message on the social media website

“Greetings to @roberto_firmino from cold Estonia, tried your hairstyle today in the training, looks great now only things missing are the mad skills”

The Estonian has not been a regular this season while Firmino has been one of the best players for the Reds in this campaign. The Brazilian was again on target against Watford and has already scored six goals in the Premier League this season.

More games ahead for Klavan?

Klavan had earlier spoken about his situation at Liverpool. The summer arrival was a first-choice defender but after his performance in the 2-0 loss to Burnley, the centre-back has been replaced by the pairing of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip.

The 31-year-old did state about his frustration of not playing regular football of the side but he should be in the teams which take part in the cup competitions. Liverpool are to take on Leeds United in the EFL Cup and their FA Cup campaign is yet to take off.

It should not be a surprise to see Klavan actually on the bench, given his age and the fact that Matip and Lovren have formed a great understanding between them. The Reds still have kept only one clean sheet all season and that could be a reason why Klavan might think that he deserves more game time for the team.

Even in the match against Watford, Klopp did shore up the back four late on but he did not bring on the Estonian. Klavan though has been pretty solid in most of his games and even though he isn’t the quickest player in the team, he has been able to hold his own in the Premier League.

In all probability, Klavan will be sold at the end of the season as he isn’t a player who will challenge for a starting spot and Klopp might have to bring in another central defender in January.
