The Guardian has reported that Liverpool are most likely to sign three attackers in the upcoming winter transfer window. The Reds have been looking to add more attacking talent into the side and the outlet also claims Jurgen Klopp will have £40million to spend.

The players linked with a move to Anfield are Christian Pulisic, Sardar Azmoun and Quincy Promes. Pulisic, an American, who has been doing very well at Borussia Dortmund this season and the 18-year-old is expected to become one of the best in the world. Unfortunately for the Reds, Dortmund have constantly stated that the youngster is not for sale.

Sardar Azmoun is an Iranian international that can play across the line. The attacker currently plays for FC Rostov in the Russian Premier League but has been prolific for the national team rather than his club side. The Iranian has been great in the Champions League this season, however, having scored four goals in the competition.

The third player on the list, Promes. A Dutch winger who has also been playing in the Russian Premier League. The 24-year-old is the latest addition to the list as his rumours of joining the club have intensified in the past month or so. The Spartak Moscow star can play in a number of positions and has scored six goals and provided six assists in the league campaign this season.

Options galore for Klopp but who will come into the side?

The report claims that the trio are most likely to sign for the Reds but in all honesty, only Promes could be the player actually joining the club. Daily Express recently predicted that apart from the new three in-comings, there might be as much as five exits.

Coming back to Promes, he might also be a little less expensive compared to Pulisic and Azmoun at the moment. Pulisic, for his part, had recently stated that he was happy with his time at Dortmund and is not thinking about a move away.

There has been no real quotes about the transfer of Azmoun to Liverpool but the youngster has been linked for a few months, though it seems unlikely he will be a Red this transfer window.

The need to sign an attacker had been identified by Klopp earlier due to the loss of Sadio Mane to the African Cup of Nations. The Senegalese star has been incredible for Liverpool and his absence in the months of January and February could be critical as the Merseyside club look to sustain their Premier League charge.

A player will be coming into the club in the window but we will just have to wait and see if it is Promes or someone else.
