Liverpool Could Beat Manchester United To The Signing Of 16-year Old Rising Algerian Youngster

Liverpool have played a number of youngsters this season and Jurgen Klopp had stated that he would be giving more chances to youth players from the club in the upcoming seasons. The German manager seems to be in the market for another rising star, this time from France.

Le Havre’s Yasser Larouci is set to leave the club in the summer after he turned down a new contract with the French club. The 16-year-old did have a trial at a Premier League club in December with Southampton but nothing was finalized between the two sides.

The Algeria-born attacking midfielder can play out on the wings too and seems to be on the same route as Paul Pogba. The Manchester United midfielder did leave Le Havre to join the Red Devils and the rest, as we know, is history.

There are others who claim that Larouci could turn out to be the next Riyad Mahrez too. The Algerian rose out from nowhere when he joined Leicester City and helped them win the Premier League title last season.

Dimitri Payet was also a product of the youth system at the French club and it does seem that the team does produce quality youngsters.

There is a lot of interest in the 16-year-old with Manchester United also interested in signing the midfielder but reports claim that the Merseyside club will beat their rivals to Larouci.

Talented youngsters coming up on top at Liverpool

While many people might have thought that Klopp would not be playing the academy players, the German has given numerous chances to the youngsters at Liverpool a chance to impress.

Players such as Trent-Alexander Arnold have certainly proved their manager right by putting in a number of great performances while some players such as Ben Woodburn have created new records even though the season went off track in the month of January.

Larouci certainly would have to work extremely hard if he is to break into the Liverpool first team. There already are a number of quality midfielders in the side and youngsters such as Kevin Stewart and Cameron Brannagan are also in the running for a place in the first team.

Klopp has also been plotting for the likes of Mahmoud Dahoud and Christian Pulisic, who both can play in midfield and will certainly add quality to the Reds.

Larouci has a lot of time on his hands and his next move has to be a smart one for his all-around development.
