Liverpool Team News:

Jurgen Klopp gave updates on his players’ status as four of them were recovering from injuries. Danny Ings, a long-term absentee is surely out, and out for the season as confirmed by Klopp. Daniel Sturridge, though he did not travel with the squad to Spain, will be available for the game against Leicester.

Lovren’s knee problem required him to travel to Germany to get it sorted out and he is back in training. However, he might not be fully fit for the trip top King Power.

Wijnaldum experienced a calf problem while training but has recovered and there will be no problems with his availability for the match.

We expect a full strength Liverpool line-up from Klopp as the whole focus has now shifted on securing a top-4 finish.

Expected Line-up:

Formation: 4-3-3

Simon Mignolet (GK):

Mignolet might start this game ahead of his deputy Loris Karius, as Reds begin their final run-in to the season. This will be a crucial period for both the keepers, as they look to convince their manager of their abilities.

Nathaniel Clyne (RB):

Clyne is one of the first names on the team sheet and is a sure starter for Liverpool.

Joel Matip (CB):

Joel Matip has been an ever present and will yet again play as the leader of their back line.

Ragnar Klavan (CB):

Klavan might get to play ahead of Lucas Leiva as they will need a proper centre-half to deal with Jamie Vardy.

James Milner (LB):

Milner has been one of the most consistent players for Liverpool and has flourished as a left-back this season. This must yet be another start for him.

Jordan Henderson (CM):

Henderson has been the top passer in the league this season and is ahead of even the expensive Paul Pogba. This simply suggests how important Henderson is for Liverpool and he will surely play from the start.

Adam Lallana (CM):

Has signed a new contract with the club and looks confident and motivated. He has been in great form as well, and will surely be involved against the Foxes.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM):

Wijnaldum has been terrific in recent times for the Reds and it will be bizarre for Klopp not to play the Dutchman this weekend.

Philippe Coutinho (LW):

Coutinho has not been the same player that he was before his injury and is still trying to find his feet again. He must get another outing to find his rhythm.

Sadio Mane (RW):

Mane has been Liverpool’s best player this season by far and he is certain to start the game.

Roberto Firmino (CF):

Though he has not settled into the forward role, Firmino might get the nod ahead of Divock Origi because of his sheer quality.

Here’s how they may take the field:
