Famous Journalist Claims Liverpool Are Bracing Themselves For A Mini-Exodus

Liverpool will conduct a massive clear out in the summer and a number of players, who are currently in the first team, could be on the chopping block as well. Jurgen Klopp has seen that his current set of players cannot deal with the pressure of being close to the top and their struggles in a number of games seems to have helped the manager take up the tough decision.

While there are no clear indications as to who all will leave, barring Mamadou Sakho, James Pearce added three more names to the list of players he expects the Liverpool fans to say goodbye to come the end of the season.

“A lot will depend on where LFC finish and what kind of offers come in for those players who aren’t guaranteed starters going forward,” Pearce told Anfield Nation.

“I’d expect Klopp to sell Sturridge and Sakho. I’m sure Lucas will have a few offers of more regular football elsewhere and it wouldn’t surprise me if Moreno left.”

While none of the names pop out as a surprise or a new rumour, it does seem that Sturridge is the biggest name that will surely get cut before the next season begins. The England international has not been a regular for the club and his place has been taken up by Roberto Firmino.

The bigger problem with Sturridge has been his injury record and the fact that he cannot play in Klopp’s high pressing game.

Lucas Leiva isn’t a new name to have in the list either and it is a surprise he did not leave for another club in the winter window. The Brazilian has played more games as a defender this season than as a midfielder.

Alberto Moreno’s position certainly is up for grabs in the team as the Spaniard’s position in the first team has been taken over by James Milner, who has been shifted from his preferred midfield role.

Sakho is the one player that seems to have upset Klopp the most and it wouldn’t even take Pearce to come up with the fact that the Frenchman is going to leave the club in the summer.
