The PFA Team of the Year was announced earlier and there were some controversial exclusion from the team. It was rather surprising to see some big names missing from the team sheet but the overall team cannot be questioned. Though some players were excluded from the team, the ones who were named were worthy of a spot and no questions can be raised about it.
The team was dominated by Chelsea and Tottenham stars and only 3 players outside these London clubs made it to the XI.
One of them was Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, who has had a stellar season with the Reds. He has scored 13 goals and provided 8 assists this season, the highest goal scorer so far. The fact that he was not nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award did not go down well with the Liverpool fans and hence his inclusion in the Team of the Year seemed to please the Anfield faithful.
The Liverpool fans took the Twitter to express their opinion about Mane being included in the PFA Team of the Year and we managed to gather few tweets and put it together. Though some fans were happy about the Senegal star’s inclusion in the team, some of them had a different opinion about the whole thing.
