Isco

Real Madrid have a number of quality players in their side and giving them ample time on the pitch is not easy. Isco is another player who has had to deal with a lot of time on the bench and it seems Liverpool are ready to pounce and sign the Spaniard up.

The former Malaga man hasn’t become a regular at the club, even though he is extremely talented and Spanish outlet Don Balon now claims that Jurgen Klopp refuses to give up on the attacker and is prepared to make a final attempt to lure him before he signs a contract extension with Madrid. Isco had been linked with a move to the Premier League side earlier but nothing materialised between the two clubs.

In fact, it was being reported that the 25-year-old is actually close to signing a £5million-a-year contract extension but Klopp is willing to negotiate with the La Liga side for Isco. The Spaniard might be tempted with a move away from the Bernabeu in search of more first-team football.

Isco has only started 16 La Liga games this season and has been brought on as a sub a further 11 times. That probably isn’t enough for someone who is trying to develop his game and a move to Anfield would certainly work for the attacker and the club.

Isco

Klopp knows he doesn’t have a lot of attacking options and the Spaniard can play across the front-line and even in midfield. It is this flexibility that would work great for the Merseyside club but Daily Mirror claims that the Reds will face competition from another Premier League club.

Champions elect Chelsea also want to sign the talented attacker as the Blues look to find a suitable replacement for Willian.

If Liverpool are to get better and challenge on all fronts next season, they need someone like Isco in their team. The problem lies in the fact that Champions League football isn’t guaranteed for the Reds.

Should they achieve that next season, signing Isco would become a little easier.
