The Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona rumours are getting stronger by the day and it seems these stories are having an effect on the Liverpool fans.

Sport, a Spanish outlet, carried out a report claiming that Coutinho has agreed to a deal to move to Barcelona and would leave Anfield in the summer.

The deal to take Coutinho to Barcelona would come as a bit of a surprise as the 24-year-old had only signed a new deal in January. The terms of the deal not only bumped up his pay package but had also increased his stay at the Premier League club till 2022.

Liverpool do have a bit of the upper hand as the same Spanish report says the Reds would only let go of Coutinho should Barcelona end up paying €90 million, which is greater than the amount paid for Luis Suarez.

Coutinho’s car damaged

Meanwhile, Daily Mail, reports that an angry Liverpool fan damaged Coutinho’s Porsche as the players were celebrating the annual end of season awards on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane picked up the Players’ Player of the Season award and the Supporters’ Player of the Season award, after a great first season with the Merseyside club despite picking up an injury against Everton which ended his season.

Coutinho would have been looking to pick up the prize but his second half of the campaign wasn’t as great but he had to deal with the ire of the fans as his car was vandalized outside Anfield.

The black Porsche of Coutinho, which is valued at around £60,000 was hit with rocks and other objects and sustained some damage as well.

Even if Coutinho does decide to leave the club, vandalizing his car and property is not the right way to deal with the loss of one of the brightest players to have graced Anfield in recent years.

The expected loss of Coutinho would be a major blow to Jurgen Klopp and his plans for next season. But with a lot of money coming in, the summer will be a big one for the former Borussia Dortmund manager.
