Liverpool third kit launch

Liverpool finally revealed their third kit for the season and it is a bit of a doozy, to say the least. While we have seen some rather unorthodox third kits, such as the eye gouging fluorescent green one last season and the one during the 2013-14 season, this time around we have gone with a bright orange version.

The launch was part of the Premier League Asia Trophy tournament where we will fight it out against three other sides from the top division for the crown. But this kit does carry some of the hallmarks of a quality jersey.

We can see two years, 1892 and 2017, one each side of the Liver bird, representing the time span of the club. There is also a “125 years” beneath the Liver bird. The shorts are also of the same colour and so are the socks.

We haven’t given up on the green from last season and good old Simon Mignolet, and even Loris Karius and Danny Ward would be donning the green between the sticks.

Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Simon Mignolet graced the occasion of the kit launch and expectations will be high that we can add a few more players to our side before the end of the transfer window.

The Premier League Asia Trophy will be a decent test of our fitness as we will go against two other Premier League sides at least. Our first game is on Wednesday where we face Crystal Palace and then we could face either Leicester City or West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, depending on who wins which game.

Hopefully, we can come out unscathed from the two games and work on our teamwork and fitness and who knows, we might even spring a surprise and don one of our away kits to please the crowd.

The third kit is a bit of a bright one which might shock some of the defenders and hopefully help us win a few games but out of the three kits this season, there is no doubt that the best one is the home kit.
