Liverpool’s players and coaches were seen to be in a jovial mood as Jurgen Klopp put the team through its paces at the training camp at Rottach-Egern in Germany. This was in stark contrast to the madness that is engulfing the Naby Keita transfer from RB Leipzig.

In the training ground, Klopp was seen to be all smiles as the rest of the squad turned up the heat in the ground. It was a joy to see Sadio Mane return to training and we also saw glimpses of Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho.

Another sight for sore eyes was that of Danny Ings returning to training after a tough couple of seasons. The striker will be hopeful of contributing to our performances this time around.

Speaking of injured players, Daniel Sturridge too was seen to be enjoying himself and hopefully, the former Chelsea man can stay fit for majority of the season.

The three new signings in the summer were also put through their paces while we even saw a smile from Philippe Coutinho to maybe pour some water over the Barcelona rumours.

Joe Gomez and Georginio Wijnaldum seemed to be in good spirits too while Simon Mignolet was doing his best to keep the ball out of the net. We couldn’t miss out on the English pair of Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson too as we prepare for a big season that lies ahead.

Klopp did look serious during certain segments of the training session but that could have been due to the ongoings regarding Keita’s move to Anfield.

Rangnick Kicks Up A Storm Regarding Keita Deal

The Keita deal seems to have taken a rather nasty turn as Ralf Rangnick spoke out after the Guinean tackled Diego Demme in a training session for the Bundesliga side.

As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, the former Schalke manager said:

“There should be someone who points them into the right direction.

“The boys themselves are not the problem here. It is their surroundings.

“A whole village in Guinea or somebody from their entourage tells the players why they must do something right away. I can’t blame the players.”

This statement from Rangnick was criticised by Guinean Amadou Makadji, who is known to be close to Keita. As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, he said:

“Shocked by the irresponsible words of Rangnick. If Guinea is a big village, what good is it to retain a villager in his team?

“Rangnick should apologise to Naby and Guinea, a country whose history is rich. If necessary, give him a history class.”

It does seem like Keita is moving closer to a move to Liverpool and these quotes will add more fuel to the fire regarding a transfer for the 22-year-old.

We might just be able to celebrate a lot more in the coming days after the signing of one of our more important players.
