Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may be in for some strong questions after he posted hilarious snaps of his teammates on his social media page.

The Reds travelled to Marbella, Spain last week to make the most of their 10-day break between fixtures. And they have now returned from their warm-weather training camp as they begin preparations for Saturday’s home game against West Ham.

Jurgen Klopp provided his squad with a much-needed rest after his team thrashed FC Porto 5-0 in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. By winning the first-leg handsomely, the Merseysiders have all but secured a quarterfinal berth in the Champions League.

During the small break in Marbella, the players enjoyed their time, with plenty of pictures and snaps showing them highly motivated. And the fun seemed to continue for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the flight back to England.

The midfielder uploaded a couple of embarrassing photos of Alberto Moreno and Loris Karius, before adding filters to the snaps on his Instagram story.

On Moreno’s picture, he wrote the caption: ‘Tough training camp Hermano?’

And on Karius’ photo, he wrote: ‘Another one’.

Klopp will be hoping that the break between the fixtures revitalises the whole squad as the battle for a top-four finish heats up. The Reds were knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round by West Bromwich Albion which means Champions League remains the only competition they can win this season.

They could realistically challenge for the Champions League after putting a foot in the quarterfinals with a thumping win over Porto in the first leg. The second leg at Anfield is expected to be a cakewalk for the hosts. Our gaffer should start making plans for the quarterfinals of the Champions League and take this elite competition seriously as I feel we have a fantastic chance to win it this season with the squad we have.

The likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are in scintillating form and the fiery trio can torment any defence across Europe. There is a sense of optimism in the squad that nothing is impossible. With that spirit, Liverpool should continue the good work and make progress in the Champions League.

As far as the Premier League is concerned, there is still a lot to fight for despite the title being all but gone to Manchester City.
