According to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is one of the best forwards in Europe. Salah has taken the Premier League by storm since joining Liverpool from AS Roma at the start of the season.

The Egyptian has banged goals left, right and centre and by scoring consistently, he has already reached 36 goals in his debut season at Anfield.

His breathtaking performances for the Reds have seen him attract a lot of attention from some of Europe’s elite clubs, report the Express.

The Express claims that Spanish giants Real Madrid are one of the clubs interested in Salah and are even ready to break the world-record transfer fee to sign the jet-heeled Egyptian at the end of the season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger now says he rates Salah as one of the best in Europe, which is a striking compliment. Not only has Wenger lauded Salah but has also backed the 25-year-old to shine in the World Cup.

“For me, he’s one of the best players in Europe at the moment,” Wenger was quoted by the Express.

“He can score goals against anybody because in England you have many good defenders and he’s top scorer in the Premier League.

“He’s scored in Italy and in England. So overall, I think to keep him quiet will be very difficult at the World Cup.”

Salah’s goalscoring exploits this season are having a positive impact at Liverpool, similar to what Luis Suarez had when the Uruguayan was at Anfield. The Egyptian is enjoying a phenomenal season and he deserves to be in Ballon d’Or contention this year, alongside Messi and Ronaldo.

The 40-goal milestone is certainly within reach for Salah, and let’s hope our shining star reaches it quickly.
