According to the Daily Star, Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona have cooled their interest in Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

The 25-year-old has been a superstar performer for the Reds since joining the club at the start of the season from AS Roma. The Egyptian’s hot form in his debut season with Liverpool has seen him get linked with a move away from Anfield.

The Daily Star claims that Salah was widely tipped to be heading to La Liga in summer with a £200million price tag on his head.

However, the report adds that Barcelona have their sights set on Atletico Madrid star, Antoine Griezmann, and they won’t have any cash left to compete for Salah’s signature in the summer transfer window.

According to Daily Star’s Spanish sources, Real Madrid have said ‘No’ for Salah and the talk of a summer move has cooled down apparently.

Going by the Daily Star’s claims, this will come as fantastic news for us. After scoring at Palace at the weekend, the Egyptian took his league tally to 29 goals. There is no stopping Salah at the moment and let’s hope he continues his dazzling form to help the team finish on a high this season.
