According to Ladbrokes (h/t the Express), Liverpool are leading the way to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland at the end of the season.

Butland has been a rare shining light for Stoke this season and after the 1-1 draw with West Ham at the London stadium on Monday, it looks likely the Potters will go down to the Championship with four games left to play.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Jack Butland as Jurgen Klopp wants a new goalkeeper for next season. We have Loris Karius as our No.1 shot-stopper and the German has performed very well in the last couple of months.

Butland, who left Birmingham City to join Stoke in 2013, is on the radar of top clubs from the Premier League but as per Ladbrokes (h/t the Express), Liverpool are favourites to sign the 25-year-old in summer with Stoke likely to get relegated.

“Stoke are all but down as far as the odds are concerned and it’s likely a whole host of Premier League heavyweights will do battle for Butland’s signature in the summer – but it’s Liverpool who lead the way right now,” Alex Apati of Ladbrokes was quoted by the Express.

The Reds are overwhelming favourites to sign Butland at 5/4, while Arsenal and Chelsea are priced at 3/1 and 4/1 respectively.

Jack Butland is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. He has a bit of everything in his locker and has been a consistent performer between the sticks in an otherwise terrible season for Stoke. I think we must offload Simon Mignolet and sign Jack Butland in the summer.
