Liverpool certainly made us sweat it out a bit but we made it to the Champions League final even after a 4-2 loss at the hands of AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Credit must be given to Jurgen Klopp and the team as we carried a 5-2 lead over the Serie A side ahead of the second leg. Thanks to a goal from Sadio Mane, we even opened the scoring. It was a delightful night for us and here are some pictures (h/t This Is Anfield) and highlights from the game to keep the memory lasting long.

We did concede thanks to a freak own-goal from James Milner but then took the lead again from Georginio Wijnaldum.

Roma scored three more goals to win the tie 4-2 but that was not enough as we now prepare to face Real Madrid in the final.

However, there were some wild celebrations from the likes of Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk and even our captain, Jordan Henderson as the team and fans celebrated a crazy night.

Of course, this would not have been possible without the fans and the Liverpool players certainly spent a lot of time with the away fans, who made it feel like we were playing at home.

Jurgen Klopp was also ecstatic with the result and celebrated a lot with the players. There were also a number of former players who were a part of the crazy 2005 final which we won against Milan after coming back from a 3-0 deficit.

Hopefully, we will have another night to remember as we face Real Madrid in the final in Kiev. Facing the La Liga side will not be a walk in the park and we will have to be at our best if we are to win our sixth Champions League title.

Klopp does not have the best of records in finals but with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah firing on all cylinders, we can certainly believe that we have a solid chance of winning the Champions League from Real.

For now, here are the highlights from the game too.
