Liverpool are targeting young Italian striker, Andrea Pinamonti of Inter Milan, according to reports coming in from Italy. The deal is said to cost just £2million.

Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Mirror) claims that the 18-year-old is not happy with his lack of playing time and wants a move away from San Siro. The striker has scored a number of goals for the youth sides but that has only made a couple of appearances for the senior side with just one substitute appearance in the Serie A.

Pinamonti does have a tough task at hand, which is to usurp Mauro Icardi at Inter, thanks to the Argentine’s incredible scoring record. However, the young striker does have a number of suitors too. Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are also interested in the striker.

Liverpool already have a number of strikers trying to make it to the starting XI, with Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke getting a sporadic run due to the brilliance of Roberto Firmino.

Not to forget, we also have Divock Origi out on loan and have a number of young strikers, with Rhian Brewster and Harry Wilson looking to somehow make it to the senior squad.

Pinamonti would possibly have to play for the youth teams before playing regularly for the first team and there is a lot of competition for places under Jurgen Klopp.

The youngster would not be an extremely expensive signing as he is yet to be tested in the Italian league. Moving to a more physical league like the Premier League might not be the right move for him too.

Pinamonti might have a number of suitors but he will have to be smart about making a move away from his current club. There have been numerous instances of players moving away and then losing it all and hopefully, that will not be the case with this young Italian.
