Having a player like Mohamed Salah in one’s team can be both a boon and a bane. The scintillating performances and goalscoring exploits often bring with it a fair amount of attention which might not be the best thing with a transfer window coming up.

A report from Spanish outlet Don Balon (h/t Daily Express) has credited Real Madrid with an interest in Salah. Now, this sentence is more than enough to send shivers down the spine of any Liverpool fan but here is the scary part: Jurgen Klopp might actually consider the deal.

The report goes on to claim that Klopp is open to the idea of selling Salah provided he receives Dani Ceballos and Keylor Navas in return. In addition to that, Liverpool would also want a sum of £90m, as per Don Balon.

Daily Express claims Salah is valued at approximately £190million and the above deal does make up the amount more or less.

Players like Ceballos and Navas would undoubtedly boost the areas that we need to strengthen. Ceballos has struggled for game time at Santiago Bernabeu but given the lack of quality midfield options for Klopp, the former Real Betis star could work wonders. An experienced keeper like Navas could be the perfect alternative to Loris Karius.

However, Salah’s value is immeasurable. He has been one of the main reasons behind Liverpool’s strong resurgence this season and it goes without saying that his power will be key to our plans for the future as well. Right now, Klopp must focus on building a team around Salah and a sale should be out of the question.
