Ever since Liverpool beat AS Roma and secured a date with reigning European champions Real Madrid for an epic Champions League final, excitement has been rife in the Reds’ camp.

If we are able to lift the trophy at the end of the match, it will not only mark the longest we have come in recent times but it will also be a great moment for English football, in general.

However, playing against Real will be no easy task. Los Blancos may have faltered in the La Liga but the Champions League has been their hunting ground for the last two years and they will not go easy on us by any measure.

To beat them, we will need our strongest lads on the field and Jurgen Klopp announced the 24-man squad to travel to Kiev.

As per a report from Liverpool’s official website, these are the players who make it to the provisional squad for now:

Karius, Clyne, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Firmino, Salah, Henderson, Klavan, Moreno, Mane, Lallana, Mignolet, Can, Robertson, Ings, Solanke, Phillips, Jones, Ward, Woodburn, Camacho, Alexander-Arnold.

Our squad this season has been a healthy mix of seasoned stars and youngsters. The front trio is pretty much set but it will be interesting to see the other players who Klopp includes in the starting XI on the big day. The match will take place at NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium and that is where our players will train ahead of the final.
