Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has threatened to quit the club unless they spend big money and sign an attacking midfielder. Don Balon (h/t The Express) claims that the 25-year-old is upset with the Reds as they failed to sign Nabil Fekir.

The former Chelsea man believed that Fekir would have been the perfect addition for Jurgen Klopp’s side, however, the deal was squashed as we found out about the Frenchman’s knee issue.

The report also goes on to add that should we fail to buy an attacking midfielder in the summer window, Salah will move either to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

While Liverpool might have their reasons to pull the plug on the Fekir deal, Salah could be right about one point that we need an attacking midfielder for next season.

When we lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last season, we should have looked at bringing in a replacement, however, we did not get someone similar to the Brazilian.

Having an attacking outlet in midfield would help us unlock defences more easily and it would add another threat to the side when it comes to scoring goals.

Salah, however, was the main man for us last season as he scored 32 goals for us in the Premier League and won the Golden Boot award and we cannot even think about losing him next season.

We would need to push on from last season and really aim for the Premier League title and more. Hopefully, with the right signings on board for our attack, we might just be able to win a trophy or two with Salah on our side.
