Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek isn’t completely sure about staying at Chelsea next season and Liverpool have emerged as one of the clubs interested in the 22-year-old midfielder, according to bookmakers Betway.

While the Reds are interested in yet another Chelsea youngster after signing Dominic Solanke last season, Alan Alger of Betway claims our Merseyside rivals Everton are actually the favourites to land the English midfielder.

Alger was quoted by the Express as saying:

“Everton at 3/1 have emerged as the market leaders to sign the powerful midfielder if he decides he wants a challenge away from Stamford Bridge ahead of Liverpool at 6/1.”

Alger further added that there still is a chance for the Englishman to remain at Stamford Bridge next season and he could return to Crystal Palace after a fine season for the Eagles last time around.

“He is still favoured at 8/11 to remain at Chelsea next season, while it’s 7/1 for him to return to Crystal Palace having enjoyed a successful loan spell there last season.”

Loftus-Cheek did play in the 2-1 win over Tunisia as he came on as a substitute and impressed many with the few minutes he got on the pitch.

He could also start the next game against Panama as Dele Alli is a doubt for the gsme due to an injury and this would be his chance to prove that he can play regularly at the top level.

It might be tough to steal Loftus-Cheek away from Chelsea and guarantee him regular playing time at Anfield.

However, there is no doubt that the Englishman is a talent and if he works under Jurgen Klopp, he could become one of the best midfielders in the world.
