According to former Reds ace Igor Biscan, Liverpool must sign Chelsea winger Willian this summer.

“I’d love to see them bring in some players who have had a good World Cup,” Biscan told BetStars. (h/t Express)

“Willian from Chelsea would be a great signing for Liverpool. I’m a fan so I would love to see them bring in players like Willian as they would be really good for the team.”

Willian, 29, struggled to get regular game time under Antonio Conte last season and has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent months. Manchester United and Barcelona are interested in the Brazilian international, with the latter launching a £50m bid for the 29-year-old, as per the Express.

Willian and Costa snubbed Liverpool approach before eventually joining Chelsea.

Willian’s contract expires in two years’ time, meaning this summer would be the ideal time for the Blues to sell to recoup some money. Next summer would see the winger’s value diminish drastically whilst the year after that, he would be available for free.

Should Willian become available for a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, Liverpool must not break the bank for the winger. Willian, who had an underwhelming World Cup with Brazil, turns 30 next month and splashing such a hefty fee on him won’t be ideal for our club.

We already boast one of the most-feared attacking trios in world football with the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. Barring them, however, we do not have too many options. So, Jurgen Klopp must sign a young, dynamic forward who will be ready to play second fiddle to our aforementioned attackers.

In that case, Willian won’t suit the bill at Anfield and the Reds must avoid making a move for the Chelsea ace.
