Liverpool have not made a €65m bid for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson despite Italian reports, according to Dave Maddock of the Mirror.
The Reds had been linked with a move for the Brazilian star but Maddock added that we have not been in contact with the player or the Serie A side regarding a move to bring him to Anfield.
Widespread reports in Italy on €65m Liverpool bid for Alisson…completely wrong (unfortunately). NO bid from @LFC, no contact at all with player or club. No plans to bid at this stage either. Was some interest earlier in window, but cooled and not revived. #LFC

Alisson has been one of the most impressive keepers in the last couple of seasons and we have been in the market for a new keeper. The Brazilian was not the only keeper being linked with us as Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid was an option too.
However, it seems like Jurgen Klopp will be sticking with Loris Karius for now, even though the German made another error during the 3-2 win over Tranmere Rovers in a pre-season friendly.
Karius has had a tough time ever since he made a couple of howlers against Real Madrid in the Champions League final and it will be tough for him to get complete backing from the fans after a tough couple of months.
It would have been great to have an upgrade on Karius, however, we might have to stick with the likes of Danny Ward and the German until the end of the season.
Klopp’s backing has worked for players such as Alberto Moreno and Dejan Lovren in recent months and it would be great if something similar takes place with Karius in the upcoming season.
