Domagoj Vida

Domagoj Vida has been subject to links with Liverpool and football agent Udur Avadan has claimed that the Reds have made an offer for the Besiktas defender.

Avadan was responsible for bringing the Croatia international to Besiktas and was speaking on Radyospor (h/t Turkish Football) where he even claimed that Everton had bid for the 29-year-old.

“It is normal for there to be interest what is important is that the offers satisfy Besiktas and then Vida. Liverpool and Everton are huge clubs that have made offers.”

The agent also added that Catalan club Barcelona had tracked the central defender but he did not see Vida moving to the La Liga side. Additionally, Avadan also added that Sevilla and Atletico Madrid were interested in the Croatian.

The 29-year-old was one of the more impressive players for the national side in the World Cup as they reached the final and even though there have been claims that Liverpool are not interested in the 29-year-old, A Spor (h/t Turkish Football) suggest that the Reds have a deal in place for Vida.

While we have brought in a number of players this season, another central defender could be used as cover for Joel Matip who picked up a slight tear in our match against Borussia Dortmund.

Vida might turn out to be a decent option as long as we do not pay a hefty amount for the Croatia defender. Liverpool seem set for something special and possibly one or two more signings should make us real challengers for the title.
