Bayer Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey has claimed that there is interest in him from a few clubs, including Liverpool, according to the Mirror.

The 20-year-old had a great season with the Bundesliga side as he scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 34 games. The Mirror also reports that the Jamaica-born attacker is rated at £40million and that AS Roma and Chelsea are also interested in the youngster.

Bailey was quoted by the Mirror, as he claimed that his current club and management would deal with any interest from other teams.

“There’s concrete interest.

“What I can say is that my full focus is on developing myself as a young player, and that’s what I’ll focus on.

“If a club wants me, my management and Bayer will take care of it.”

Bailey stated that his plan for the season was to help Leverkusen usurp the title from the Bavarian giants.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been busy in the transfer window so far, bringing in four players. However, we could do with another winger on the team.

Xherdan Shaqiri can play out wide but if we have Bailey on our side, the Reds would have four quality options to play on the wings.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane should be the first choices for the two wide positions and Bailey could deal damage coming off the bench.

The youngster is one of the brightest talents in the Bundesliga and it would not be a surprise if he does seal a move away before the end of the transfer window.
