Simon Mignolet’s agent has asked Napoli to step up their pursuit of the Liverpool goalkeeper and to make a bid for him in the coming days.
A report from the Daily Mail claims that the Belgian keeper wants a move away from Anfield and Jurgen Klopp has told him that he would be the third choice behind Alisson and Loris Karius.
Nico Vaesen, Mignolet’s agent, was speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (h/t Daily Mail) as he said:
“Mignolet likes Napoli and the admiration is not new.
“Napoli have enquired about him on several occasions in previous transfer windows.
“However, there is nothing guaranteed about his move to Napoli at the moment and we will have to wait for the next few days to see whether they will make an offer.”
The agent said the club would have to hurry it up in order to sign the keeper as the transfer window is set to shut soon.
“Considering that the market will close soon, they will have to make a move soon if we want to further the negotiations for everyone to reach an agreement.”
Liverpool have signed Alisson from AS Roma and the Brazilian is expected to be the No.1 at the club this season. The Reds would allow Mignolet to leave but want a fee of £12million (h/t Daily Mail) for the Belgian keeper.
While the Reds cannot sign any player as the Premier League window has shut, Italian clubs can still do business till the end of the month.

Selling Mignolet should be a priority for the club and the player too would be better off leaving because he would not get a lot of first-team action at Liverpool.
