Gary Neville wore a special Xherdan Shaqiri jersey after Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. The Daily Mail claims that Neville had lost a bet against Jamie Carragher and wore the Shaqiri jersey on TV.
Carra had saved a penalty from Neville a couple of weeks ago and that is where the Shaqiri jersey stipulation was decided.
Neville didn’t go down without a fight as he produced a Manchester United jersey which Carragher had to put on since the Liverpool defender lost a bet a few years ago, as per the report.

The report added that Carragher got Shaqiri to sign the jersey and displayed the shirt during Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.
Neville further remembered an older bet he had with Carragher where the Liverpool star claimed Paulinho would score 15 goals in a season, as per the report.
The report further added the United man did not put the Liverpool crest on his chest and chose to wear the jersey the wrong way with Shaqiri’s name displayed at the front.
The two jerseys will be auctioned (h/t Daily Mail) for foodbank charities that are run by the supporters of the clubs.

The report added that there was a special message on the jersey from the Swiss star which said:
“To my number 1 fan Gary. Please don’t track back. Sorry, please don’t back track on this bet.”
