French journalist Julien Laurens claims Liverpool have spoken with the mother and agent of Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot.

The 23-year-old is in the last year of his contract with the Ligue 1 giants and the report adds he has rejected all offers presented to him by the French club.

Another source has confirmed to ESPN that Jurgen Klopp and Rabiot have been in discussions over a move.

The report adds that Barcelona are interested in the midfielder but could not sign him in the summer as PSG rejected their offers.

Rabiot was quoted by RMC (h/t ESPN) last year, where he claimed that he wanted to play in the Premier League and supported Liverpool.

“I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young.”

Klopp admires the French midfielder and even tried to sign Rabiot during his time at Borussia Dortmund, as per the report.

Rabiot is one of the best midfielders in the Ligue 1 and if we could sign him on a free, it would be an amazing deal. Klopp has done wonders with most of the players in the side and the Frenchman could reach another level, provided he joins the Reds.
