The Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds have no interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

We had reported that Liverpool contacted the player’s mother and agent about a possible move. The report also claimed that Jurgen Klopp had spoken with the French midfielder over the phone regarding the transfer.

The Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds are “baffled” regarding the rumours and adds that the manager has never spoken to the 23-year-old midfielder.

The report from the Liverpool Echo further adds that the Reds are happy with their current midfield. We bought Naby Keita and Fabinho in the summer and already have thr likes of Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and James Milner as other midfield options.

Rabiot could travel with the PSG side that is set to face Liverpool after the international break. We face the French champions, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade in our Champions League group.

The Frenchman’s future is in doubt, as per the Liverpool Echo, and signing him could turn out to be one of our best deals in recent times.

The 23-year-old plays as a deep-lying midfielder and he would be a great option for our playing style. Klopp could certainly help his development too, as he has done with a number of players at Anfield.
