Liverpool certainly know how to make things tough for themselves and the latest evidence came during the 2-1 win over Tottenham.
We dominated the home side and were comfortably in the lead, thanks to goals from Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino.
But we didn’t kill off Spurs as a host of players missed quality chances to extend the lead. The Reds should have been ahead by five goals at least but poor finishing and decision-making almost cost us.
Erik Lamela got a late goal for the home side but we somehow held on for our fifth win in a row.
However, there was one moment before the Argentine’s strike that caught our attention. Mohamed Salah missed a couple of chances to score and in the second half, he had another chance to extend the lead.
Salah could have passed to an open player but he messed it up and Jurgen Klopp was irate at the former Roma man’s decision-making.

Truth be told, Sadio Mane was also guilty of being too selfish in the game. The Senegal star could have scored a pair but he didn’t get past Michel Vorm.
Liverpool were lucky their misses didn’t return to bite them in the end. However, the players must be lauded for getting into great positions.
Hopefully, Klopp has a stern word with the rest of the team as we cannot afford to let teams come back in the game after dominating them for 90 minutes.
