Liverpool’s players returned to Melwood for training after an incredible Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds have little time to train as their next clash is on Saturday against Southampton.

Roberto Firmino took part in training and was still wearing protective glasses after his eye injury against Tottenham last weekend.

Alberto Moreno hasn’t played a single game for us this season but he decided to have a bit of fun at the Brazilian’s expense.

There was more good news for Liverpool fans as Dejan Lovren returned to full training. The Croatian was recuperating from an injury sustained in the World Cup and we will need Lovren in the coming weeks.

Xherdan Shaqiri got a few minutes against PSG and he seemed chirpy with Jurgen Klopp beside him. The Swiss star is yet to start a game for us but we could get to see that change soon.

There have been a number of heroes for the side since the start of the season and one of them is James Milner. The Englishman produced another fantastic display against the Ligue 1 side and is playing the best football of his Liverpool career.

Another player who is riding high is Andy Robertson. The left-back was great against PSG and has been consistent in our back-line as well.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was also pictured with Nathaniel Clyne and Joel Matip, as they all seemed to laugh a bit at Firmino’s new glasses.

The team must continue their winning run against the Saints but we know it will be a tough game. Hopefully, Liverpool can keep the winning run going even after a draining encounter against PSG.
