Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to ensure Liverpool left with a deserved point against Chelsea on Saturday.
The 29-year-old scored a fantastic goal in the 89th minute after Eden Hazard’s goal in the first half.
Sturridge might not have started many games but he certainly is doing a great job with four goals to his name this season.
The Englishman has a couple in the Premier League and one in the Champions League too. The goal at the Bridge was incredible and a number of the players celebrated wildly.
One fan was pictured jumping from the crowd and joining the Liverpool fans during the celebrations and Sturridge had a brilliant message for the supporter.
The goal proved that the Englishman can do a job for us even when coming off the bench. Liverpool should have picked up three points from Stamford Bridge as we had a lot of chances but weren’t sharp in the final third.
The former Chelsea striker isn’t as mobile as Roberto Firmino but this goal proves he will have a huge role to play for us this season
Liverpool are unbeaten in the Premier League and are behind Manchester City on goal difference and it will be interesting to see how well we do when we take on the Cityzens next week at Anfield.
