Cristiano Ronaldo has had his say about Mohamed Salah winning the Puskas Award for best goal of the season.

The Egyptian beat Gareth Bale and Ronaldo for the award with his goal against Everton. The former Real Madrid attacker scored an overhead kick against Juventus in the Champions League and was speaking about the decision during an Instagram session (h/t Express).

“Salah, his was a good goal, my goal in reverse.”

Ronaldo further claimed that his goal was the best but he wasn’t too upset at missing out on the award.

“We’re serious, come on, of course mine was the best, but life is like that, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

“I’ve been at these levels for 15 years.”

Bale also scored an incredible goal against us in the Champions League final and Salah had a few other great strikes that could have won the goal of the season award.

The Egyptian had a fantastic effort against Tottenham that could have been on the list but this was just another award for the former Roma man after a wonderful season.

Salah is slowly returning to his best after making a slow start to the season. The forward was a threat against Southampton as he scored once but could have had a few more goals.

The Egyptian just needs a couple of quality games under his belt and he should fire goals like last season for Liverpool.
