Sergio Aguero

Liverpool face Manchester City in a top of the table clash next weekend and we could have a bit of a boost as Sergio Aguero is struggling to be fit for the game.

The Argentine scored in City’s last game against Brighton but Pep Guardiola wasn’t sure of the striker’s participation in the upcoming games.

The Spanish manager was quoted by Liverpool Echo as saying:

“Sergio is struggling a bit with some problems in his foot.

“He’s not 100 per cent. He’s not recovered from what happened against Newcastle.”

The manager claimed the striker needed time and wasn’t sure about his availability for the two games before the international break.

“Hopefully he can do these two games and make a final recovery but he’s not in his best condition right now physically because he has a problem with his heel.”

Daniel Sturridge Liverpool

This is great news for us. Aguero seems to score every time he faces us but City have other attacking options such as Gabriel Jesus, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.

Liverpool shouldn’t fear anyone after their start this season. We are unbeaten in the Premier League and have already faced Chelsea and Tottenham away.

City will be one of our rivals for the top spot in the Premier League and we should look to take full advantage in Aguero’s possible absence at Anfield.
