Liverpool were a little lucky when we did not concede a goal against Fulham. The Reds saw Aleksandar Mitrovic score a header but it was flagged offside.

The Reds didn’t waste time as Alisson sprung an incredible counter-attack with Mohamed Salah scoring 14 seconds after Mitrovic had headed the ball in.

That relieved some of the nerves in Anfield and Jurgen Klopp was asked about the decision to rule the initial goal out by the Liverpool website.

“What can I say about that? I saw it once, meanwhile, so I am not sure. Was it offside or not? We didn’t get a goal against us. I don’t want to compare it but against Arsenal we scored a clearer goal which was not offside and didn’t get it. At the end you cannot change it.”

The German added that reacting quickly to the situation was important, something that Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah did.

The manager added that the initial move from Fulham was “good” and we were a little lucky. Klopp praised Fulham for their performance on Sunday and had no problems with the Reds having to work hard for the three points.

The win lifted us to the top of the table before Chelsea and Manchester City play their respective games.

Liverpool head off into the international break with an important win under their belts and hopefully, we come back stronger for our game against Watford in a couple of weeks.
