Liverpool face competition from Bayern Munich for Portuguese sensation Joao Felix, according to Bild (h/t Metro). The 19-year-old has been in sensational form for Benfica, scoring 5 goals in 12 games. The report adds that Liverpool saw a £61million bid rejected while the youngster has a release clause of £106million.

The report adds that Bayern see the 19-year-old as an alternative to Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi. The Chelsea youngster submitted a transfer request in hopes of sealing a move to the Bundesliga champions and even rejected a new deal with the Blues (h/t Metro).

The report adds that Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Lyon are all keeping tabs on Felix.

The Reds aren’t averse to spending big when they need to. Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Naby Keita have all been signed for huge sums and it is to be seen what transpires regarding the 19-year-old Benfica star.

Liverpool didn’t make any signings in the winter window and sold Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth. The Reds have a couple of young attackers doing well on loan.

Harry Wilson has been a star at Derby County while Ryan Kent hasn’t done a bad job under Steven Gerrard at Rangers.

It would be great to have more attacking options for the coming season and hopefully, we get to see some of these starlets perform in the first-team at Anfield.
