Latest Liverpool transfer news: Juventus play down reports of signing Mohamed Salah

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has played down reports suggesting Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is a target for the Old Lady.

The Serie A giants have been in great form this season, but Salah has done a fantastic job for the Reds since signing from AS Roma last summer.

The Egyptian won the Golden Boot last season and is in the race for the top scorer’s title again this time around.

Speaking to Football Italia (h/t Liverpool Echo) claimed the links were “fantasy football”:

“At this moment, it’s all fantasy football, it’s only February.

“Nobody knows what could happen in June.”

The Juventus director also spoke about their signing of Aaron Ramsey on a free:

“We are proud to have brought Aaron Ramsey to Juve, as he is a great signing.”

Salah enjoying his time at Liverpool

The Egyptian has scored 17 times in the Premier League this season and has seven assists to his name.

The report claims that Juventus want to pair him with Cristiano Ronaldo, however, it would be a major surprise if the Old Lady spends huge in the summer again.

Signing Ronaldo from Real Madrid was a huge deal for the Italian side, and Salah will not come on the cheap.

The Egyptian recently signed a new deal to extend his stay at Anfield, and he seems to be enjoying his time under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds have one of the best attacks in football and Salah seems to be getting better with more games under his belt.

Liverpool are also in a great position financially, and hopefully, we can sign some quality players in the summer and make the team stronger.
