Latest Liverpool news: Sadio Mane bags 50th goal for Reds in 4-2 win over Burnley

Liverpool cut the lead at the top of the Premier League to one point after their 4-2 win over Burnley.

The Reds survived a few scares against the Clarets at Anfield, but were the better team for most of the game.

Roberto Firmino scored a brace but the man of the moment was another forward on Sunday

Sadio Mane also scored a brace in the game, and it was his second goal that brought up an important landmark.

The Senegal forward notched his 50th goal for the Reds, and is the player in form at the moment.

Mane searing hot for Liverpool

Mohamed Salah’s goals have dried up a bit in recent weeks, but Mane is doing his bit to keep our title bid going.

The 26-year-old has scored eight goals in his last eight Premier League games, and needs to do the same in midweek against Bayern Munich.

The Reds drew 0-0 at Anfield in the first leg, and have to score to give us the advantage on away goals in Germany.

Bayern are in great form and have found the back of the net 11 times in their last two league games.

Mane has been one of our best signings under Jurgen Klopp, and it is great that he is finding the back of the net regularly.

Several Liverpool fans were pleased with the performance of the Senegalese star and shared their reactions on Twitter.
