Latest Liverpool news: Liverpool are yet to taste defeat against Porto in last six games

Liverpool were a little lucky with their Champions League draw for the quarter-finals. The Reds could have face Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Manchester City or Tottenham but got Porto instead.

The Portuguese giants won’t be easy to take on, but on paper, this is possibly the best tie to enable our progress into the next round.

The Reds played Porto last season and we ran out 5-0 winners in the away leg, and it will be interesting to see how we deal with them given our Premier League run in.

Opta shared an interesting stat regarding our opponents as we haven’t lost any of the last six games.

Free-scoring Reds

The stat added that we have scored 12 times in those six games and have only conceded a pair.

The Reds should be favourites to progress, especially after their incredible win over Bayern Munich. Should we make it to the semis, it will get tougher as we would play either Barcelona or Manchester United.

If Liverpool are in such good form, expect large bets on Klopp’s men to go through to the semi-finals.

Jurgen Klopp has been excellent over two-legged affairs in Europe for the Reds. It would be incredible to make a return to the final this season too, and hopefully, we can get over the heartbreak from last season’s final against Real Madrid.
