Liverpool FC transfer news: Benfica president claims Joao Felix isn’t up for sale at the moment

Joao Felix is the hottest property coming through Benfica and has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United (h/t Mirror).

The 19-year-old broke into the Benfica first-team and the Mirror adds that Juventus and Real Madrid are also interested in the attacking midfielder.

The report claims that Felix has been dubbed as the “next Cristiano Ronaldo” but club president Luis Felipe Vieira claimed that the youngster’s release clause, reported to be €120million, could increase soon while speaking with Tuttosport (h/t Mirror):

“Joao Felix the next Ronaldo? There is only one sure thing: Felix is one of the best talents produced by Portuguese footballer since Ronaldo.”

The president didn’t open up about the interest from Juve and Real but spoke about increasing Felix’s release clause:

“At this moment we are not interested in selling him and soon we will increase the release clause in his contract.”
